Stardust creating a constellation—this is the central theme of the performance Constellation, which took place in May 2023.
At the beginning of the performance, after turning off the lights in the Refectorio Hall of the Centro del Carme – CCCC in Valencia, Spain, the location of the event, I asked each person present, looking them in the eyes and repeating the question, to turn on the flashlight of their cellphone and place it in a black bag that did not let any light escape, which I held in my hand.
After gathering the cellphones in the bag, I began placing them on the floor, one by one. The floor of the Refectorio Hall thus became a constellation—one that culminated in the creation of a sort of primordial nebula, as I urinated while standing, in the center of the hall.
Constellation as part of the 31st session of the Performance Cycle organized by the Asociació Art D’ and the Consortium of Museums of the Valencian Community.
The session also featured performances by fellow artists and university colleagues: Lola Carbonell, Lara Rodríguez, and Sofía D. Rosi, and was coordinated by Álvaro Terrones Reigada.
